  1: Hardware connectivity devices are used to increase how long your network media is as well as connecting your LAN to a WAN like the Internet for example which is the most well known and used WAN. They include devices like modems and routers. Hardware connectivity tools however are what you would use in case you were having problems connecting to your network or to the Internet. These tools help you fix any problems that may develop which prevent you from properly connecting. They include devices like cable testers and crimpers.

2:The OSI model is made up of seven layers, so I will use four of these layers as my four terms because they are the most commonly associated terms. The first layer is the physical layer which as the name implies is the hardware and the actual cords and such that you can see and touch. the second layer is the data link layer. The data link layer controls the computer’s access to data on a network as well as the data’s coming and going between computers. It ensures all that moves smoothly. The third layer is the network layer. This layer controls the go-between devices which connect computers together and ensure they are working correctly. By go-between devices, I am talking about hubs, switches, and routers. The fourth layer is the transport layer which ensures your information gets where it is meant to go successfully and there are no errors.

4:  Trust is very important when it comes t the success of any organization. Trust helps your customers build loyalty, and loyalty in the end will leave your business successful. Three main factors are perceived quality of presentation, perceived ease of navigation and other user attributes. It is important for your information to be well organized,easy to navigate through, and high quality content. Presentation quality can be determined by how graphics are used, and the location of information. According to Zhang, et al: “Web designers must take care in the presentation of the information on the home page to entice the user to continue further into the Website, and to feel comfortable sharing personal information, making purchases, and acting on Web vendor advice.” Those factors are relevant to website planning, because the same factors apply. When designing a website you should be confident that your audience will trust you and your business, and all information should be laid out and easy to find.

5:According to Zhang, et al. (2009), what are three factors to consider for building trust with a company’s target audience? How are these factors relevant to website planning?

6:I learned a lot of valuable information from the readings, but the one that stuck with me the most was the reading on how to write a great website RFP. Just in case if everyone didn’t make it to that part, RFP is short for request for proposal. Request for proposal are how many professional agencies gain new work. An RFP is basically the face of your company to potential collaborators, and that is why it is important to create them well. I learned that a good proposals lead to better working relationships, and better working relationships leads to better projects and outcomes. You do not have to be a expert in web design to write a good RFP, but it is important to make sure that it can establish clear goals, and provide the right details.
