| TaskI have to implement a program ( C++, Java, JavaScript or anything else that can be used for a website ) to create a video chat room for a website. It should be very easy to be embedded on the website and provide communication through : Video ( face to face and group meetings), audio, chat. It will be addressed to older adults so it must address issues of functionality, usability, accessibility. The priority is the video chat. It must be the biggest window on the whole chat room. Requirements Support of video, audio, chat. Keep track of users both registered and unregistered to the website as guests. All users must have the option to listen first to the discussion and then decide if they want to participate. Their camera should not be opened from the beginning. They can hear the discussion first and then click to join with webcam and their microphone open. Support of many different groups that they can be easily created by both the administrator or the user. The website will provide the administrator to create groups for users and they will only have to join. If a user wants to create a group for himself he must be able to choose a topic of discussion, how many participants will be allowed to enter ( consideration of bandwidth issues) and for how long will the conversation last ( 15, 20, 30, 45 minutes, 1 hour , close when I want etc). Usability, accessibility, functionality. It should let the administrator ( if possible) change the colour of the interface, button size, text size and then decide which layout he will use on the website for everything. ( this could be done in the code of the program ). A database to keep track of the users that are registered in the website and they can participate and create groups for discussion. The chat room will be accessed through links on the website that the administrator will create. then the users enter the specific chat room for this discussion through a link. The links should have things that are updated every few minutes for : discussion topic, time left, people participating and people watching the discussion. it should be of a big size and have the option of full screen. The user should be easily exit the discussion with one click. All things must be visible: video chat ( with all people participating open), chat, users( participating or watching). Make it easy for anybody to use: the code must be fully commented in order for someone that does not have the experience with the program or script to change something in order to embed it to his website. An abstract of the programs functionality and what each thing does when you want to change something. It must be able to connect with the webcams of the user’s computer and open it when they want. The same thing with the microphone. Generally, it is like a Skype software but on a website. Once more, It should be a program or script that can be embedded in an existing website and support video chat with all functions for its users. |

| Specific requirements:I have a solution already, i want you to create the complete video chat appication. With that i mean to create and implement all that is needed so i can easily create a video chat room and just embed the link in the website. If it needs a database for a login system i wanted also to be created for both administrator and user access. (I should be an administrator – you can ask me username and password i want ). I dont want to use any servers or databases that you will create. I use my schoold computer server where i can give you the details if you accepted to make my assignment. you should answer me on what do you need from me. Also, i have the database already created, but empty. No software like wamp, easyphp etc. I will upload all the files that you need in a .rar I expect the price to be reasonable, since i already have some of the code needed for the application. Reminder, I want to make a video chat website, with the user interface i have in the .htm files. I just want to merge the two things togerther. I should create a video chat room, get the link, embed the link to the web page, and then the user log in and use the video chat room. Any programs used should be named, and any files – DB – software you used to create the solution should be sent to me. |
