Chapter 17 Assignment
Directions: This week we are starting chapter 17 in the textbook. Chapter 17 discusses microorganisms, viruses, bacteria, and protists. It is important to have a textbook in this course to use as a reference. It is required material for this course. Work on retrieving a book as soon as possible for class weekly activities. Using your textbook, complete the activity below:
In week 2, you will need a textbook to the class activity next week. Work on retrieving a book as soon as possible. For the class weekly chapter 17 activity this week. You will write a summary that contains at least 500 words. Make sure your summary addresses important points in the chapter. Be sure to include the following below in your summary to promote understanding regarding information from chapter 17.
- Definition of microorganisms, viruses, bacteria, and protist.
- Discussion on the definition of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
- Identify what cell type each belong to in the summary of each organism in question #1.
- Identify at least two specific types of each organism in question #1.
- You will give at least one importance of each organism in question #1.
Your summary must follow the required template mentioned in the syllabus. Also you must have the proper heading on this assignment to receive possible credit. If you aren’t sure, you can locate this information in your syllabus. Penalties will be applied if directions are not followed for this assignment.
Keep in mind that only one document should be submitted in the dropbox for this assignment. If more than one document is submitted for ANY reason, a penalty of 15-points will be deducted from the overall grade. Do not submit any pdf documents in the dropbox. If pdf documents are submitted, no credit will be given for the assignment. Again, all assignments are submitted in a Microsoft Word Document.
