DISCUSSION BOARD-2
Bottom of Form
Thread 1: (meets objective: SLO1)
Study Glen and McManus’ (2014) chapter on “Motivation.†Pick two of the suggested ways for creating a motivationally creative environment. In the first paragraph, summarize each motivator, add your insight, and give an example of how the motivator might be effective. You can make up the example or share a real life story to illustrate.
In the second paragraph describe ways that we can retain our technology workers. Note the motivational value of self-awareness tools like the Clifton StrengthsFinder in engaging employees. Scan the Deloitte (current and previous years) study on millennial motivators. Choose thoughts from Deloitte AND other articles found in your own research to find ways that millennial geeks can be motivated to stay engaged and retained.
Be sure to cite and reference Glen and McManus (2014), Deloitte (current or previous years), and your own research in your post.
