Computer Science 2023 Project 1: Submit Project Plan && Project 2: Review of Literature

2023 Project 1 Submit Project Plan Purpose Your goal is to create a design | Assignment Collections

 Project 1: Submit Project Plan

Purpose

Your goal is to create a design for a software interface.  You will experience the scope of the design process from brainstorming ideas and gathering information about users’ needs to storyboarding, prototyping, and finally, testing and refining your product.
As you work on the software interface, you will demonstrate your ability to apply fundamental Human-Computer Interaction principles to interface analysis, design, and implementation. You will be responsible for delivering project components to your professor at several points during the course.

Action Items

You will need to decide on an idea for an interface. It could be a web site, a mobile app, an appliance touch screen, etc. Don’t make your idea too broad. Focus on something that solves a problem or fills a need. Another approach is to take an interface that is very poor and reimagine it.  Your project idea needs to be sufficiently complex to show your ability to design multiple screens and interaction flows as the user carries out a small number of tasks.
1) Brainstorm ideas. You might want to use a free, online mind-mapping tool like SpiderScribe or Mindomo. Here are some questions you might want to consider to focus your brainstorming:
a) Think of a service you or your friends use. What’s the biggest avoidable hassle (inconvenience) customers must endure?
b) What happens in your daily routine that is complex or confusing? How could you simplify it?
c) Think of a domain that interests you: shopping, elementary education, exercise, social media, etc. What possibilities are there to do something new or better? What might be redesigned for newer or different technologies like smart phones or gaming platforms?
2) Narrow your choices down to the best 2 or three ideas.

Pick Your Idea and Begin to Think About Your Potential Users
1) Submit your idea to your professor for approval.
2) Format your submission using the following sections:
a) The Problem
b) Why It’s Interesting
c) Main Users Affected
d) Current Solutions
e) Shortcomings and Strengths of Current Solutions
f) Main Goals of Your Project

2023 Random monoalphabet cipher The caeser cipher which shifts all letters by a certain amount | Assignment Collections

Random monoalphabet cipher.

The caeser cipher, which shifts all letters by a certain amount, is easy to decipher. Try this, instead of numbers use letters. Consider this, the word is FEATHER. Remove duplicate letters, making FEATHR, and append the rest of the letters of the alphabet in reverse order.

Now encrypt the letters as follows:

See exhibit A

Now, write a program that encrypts or decrypts a file using this cipher.

For example,

 crypt –d –kFEATHER encrypt.txt output.txt

decrypts a file using the keyword FEATHER. You must always supply a keyword.

2023 Using your assignment 10 program modify it to create an Ordered Linked List based on your structure from | Assignment Collections

Using your assignment #10 program modify it to create an Ordered Linked List based on your structure from your inventory file (order based on the partno).

Add a Inventory Management Class (whatever you want to call it), this class will have methods to load, add to, delete from, find item, and print your Ordered Linked List.

Change your load to just load L) Load Inventory File. While reading from your inventory file call a Inventory Management class method that will add the item into your Ordered Linked List. (remove the printing from the Load – you will also no longer need any pointers outside of your methods or structures meaning no pointers in main).

Add a P) Print Inventory menu option that will call a Inventory Management Class method to print your Ordered Linked List.

Add a F) Find Item in Inventory menu option that will call a Inventory Management Class method to find an item to your Ordered Linked List once found print the part information out (or return it depending on how you write this).

Add a A) Add Item to Inventory menu option that will call a Inventory Management Class method to add an item to your Ordered Linked List.

Add a D) Delete Item from Inventory menu option that will call a Inventory Management Class method to delete an item (based on your part number) to your Ordered Linked List.

Create a Inventory Management Class method to delete all inventory items (to free up all the memory dynamically allocated) call this method just before your program ends.

not required but a challenge, make your add part give an error if the partno already exists and do not add part to your linked list.

not required but a challenge, create option to save your linked list back to a file, in the same format the original file is opened in.

not required but a challenge, create option to replace an existing node items price or description.

You will have to add any needed pointers to your structure, you will need to test this by loading your file, then adding a new part that should fall at the head of the list, add another that should fall in the middle of the list, and add another that should fall at the tail (end) of the list – print your list again after doing this to verify that it works. You will also need to test your find part and make sure that all prints out correctly too.

Computer Science 2023 Design a solution to this problem using private VLANs

2023 I need a straight answer not a report or something else Just a need a straight for | Assignment Collections

I need a straight answer not a report or something else. Just a need a straight for answer for:
Problem 1 (scenario):

  • You have four web servers that are serving static web pages. You want to prevent them from communicating with each other, but allow them to communicate with the gateway
  • You have a fifth webserver that is serving a web application and therefore it requires access to the database server. This webserver and the database server should ONLY be able to communicate with each other and the gateway
  • All of these servers are on the same subnet and connected to the same switch

Design a solution to this problem using private VLANs.

You must submit a synopsis of the solution, a diagram and the commands that you would use.

Problem 2:
Write an Access List that drops packets that match the following:

  • Destination address equal to class D or broadcast
  • Contains a connection-oriented protocol
  • Destination address equal to 0.0.0.0 or with 0s in the network part

Assume the interface we are applying this access list to has an IP 172.16.20.1/22
