Computer Science 2023 Credit Checker Application

(Credit Checker Application) Develop an application (as shown
Resolved Question:
(Credit Checker Application) Develop an application (as shown in Fig. 4.24) that determines whether a department-store customer has exceeded the credit limit on a charge account. Each customer enters an account number (an Integer), a balance at the beginning of the month (a Double), the total of all items charged this month (a Double), the total of all credits applied to the customer’s account this month (a Double), and the customer’s allowed credit limit (a Double). The application should input each of these facts, calculate the new balance (= beginning balance – credits + charges), display the new balance and determine whether the new balance exceeds the customer’s credit limit. You can use the format “{0:C}” with String method Format, to format the result as currency (see Fig. 4.24). If the customer’s credit limit is exceeded, display a message (in messageLabel at the bottom of the Form) informing the customer of this fact; otherwise, display the customer’s remaining credit amount. If the user presses the Clear Fields Button, the application should clear the TextBoxes and Labels. [Note: In the next chapter, we’ll introduce the data type Decimal for financial calculations.]

Create a GPA calculator using Visual Studio 2012

Ask the user to input a list of classes and the number of tests per class.

Once the user has entered this initial information, allow the list to be saved when the user exits the program.

When the program starts, any existing data should be loaded automatically.

After the user has entered the list of classes and number of tests for each class, the user can then enter grades for each test.

Create a button that allows the user to request a GPA calculation at any time. (GPA = average for each class averaged for the total number of classes in a semester.)

All programs should have basic menu options that allow the user to exit the program and perform tasks you deem necessary for the program to function correctly.

After creating the program, be sure to debug and test your code.

Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you:

  1. Discuss the primary advantages of GUI over a textual (command-line) interface in Linux system administration.
  2. Describe two (2) linux desktop environments and explain how they generally function.
  3. Recommend one (1) scenario or situation that demonstrates when each GUI system you described previously (two [2] total scenarios) would be most suitable to install.
  4. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.
